With Release 7.01, SAS/STAT software incorporates the Output Delivery System, which gives the user complete control over the output, allows all tables and statistics to be output to SAS data sets, and produces web-browsable html output. New procedures provide tools for spatial analysis and partial least squares analysis, and several existing procedures have been updated. The GENMOD procedure has been enhanced with LSMEANS and ESTIMATE statements, and the GEE method now provides the alternating logistic regression algorithm. New nonparametric tests are available in the NPAR1WAY procedure, and the Monte Carlo method is available for a number of exact tests.

This new release also introduces a number of experimental procedures that illustrates current statistical directions. Included are procedures for survey design and analysis, nonlinear mixed models, and several procedures for nonparametric modeling, including LOESS regression and regression based on thin--plate smoothing splines.
