Data Random Graphs for Statistical Pattern Recognition

David Marchette

Naval Surface Warfare Center

ABSTRACT

Data random graphs arise from considering interpoint distance relationships between points, and constructing a graph on the observations, with edges representing various types of "closeness" relationships. I will describe several classes of these random graphs, and briefly discuss some applications to clustering, classification and other statistical issues.
