Total Atmospheric Precipitable Water Over Ocean
from SSMI. Total Precipitable Water defined as the
vertically integrated water vapor in a column extending from
the surface to the top of the atmosphere. Global gridded 1X1
degree monthly means. 1987-1991.
Monsoon Rain from SMMR. Global 1X1 degree
monthly and annual means. 30.5S to 30.5N degrees latitude
and 29.5E to 200.5E longitude. October 1978-August 1987.
Monsoon Rain from SMMR. Global 1X1 degree
multi-year means. 30.5S to 30.5N degrees latitude and 29.5E
to 200.5E longitude. October 1978-August 1987.
Monsoon Rain from SMMR. Global 1X1 degree
amplitude and phases. 30.5S to 30.5N degrees latitude and
29.5E to 200.5E longitude. October 1978-August 1987.
GPCP Version 1a Combined Precipitation &
Intermediate Products. A suite of 19 products providing
global monthly precipitation totals, derived from satellite
and rain gauge data sets. This gridded data set has a
spatial resolution of 2.5° x 2.5 ° and covers the period
from July 1987 through 1995. It was produced for the Global
Precipitation Center Project (GPCP).
The GPCP products are gridded analyses of
quality-controlled data measured by raingauges. These
products cover the earth's landsurface only. The gridded
precipitation data are complemented by the number of
raingauges for each gridcell as well as correction factors
for systematic measuring errors. Precipitation anomaly with
regard to normals 1961-90 is also available. The spatial
resolution of these products is both, 2.5° by 2.5° as well
as 1° by 1° geographical latitude and longitude.
The GPCP Combined Dataset Version 1 is
based for the oceans on infrared and microwave satellite
data only, for the landsurface on both, gridded analyses of
GPCC and satellite data. The spatial resolution of the
combined product is currently 2.5° by 2.5° geographical
latitude and longitude only.
